David Lokhorst

P.Eng., B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc.

David specializes in engineering management for small companies with emerging technology.

David graduated with a degree in Engineering Physics
from the University of British Columbia in 1985 after which
he worked for Delta Projects Inc in Calgary as a project engineer in the petrochemical industry.  During his tenure at Delta,
David led the deployment of prototype gas separation plants
using innovative reverse-osmosis membranes developed
by the Alberta Research Council.
In 1989-1990 David attended the University of Toronto
where he graduated with a Masters degree in
Mechanical Engineering, specializing in control systems
and automation.
David joined RSI Research Ltd
(later renamed RSI Technologies Inc)
as a project manager and led the development of
control systems for hydraulic machines used in forestry,
subsea maintenance, and mining.  In 1995, David was appointed President of RSI and oversaw several projects for clients including Spar Aerospace, Caterpillar, and P&H Mining Equipment.
From 1999-2008, David acted as Vice President Engineering
and later President of Tactex Controls Inc.
Tactex developed sensor systems and
devices for the medical industry.
David acted as Vice President Engineering at Corvus Energy Inc.
(2014-2016) where he was instrumental in developing the
Orca battery systems now used in marine applications
around the world.
David now is Vice President of Technology (as of 2017) at
Genesis Robotics & Motion Technologies.
David is a registered professional engineer in BC since 2002.
Prior to that, he was registered in Alberta since 1987.
David co-founded The Lokhorst Group Ventures in 2008.
